Mikayla has a passion for helping others and using her legal skills to make the world a better place. She strives to fight for the underdog and does not back down from the challenge. She takes pride in fighting diligently for her clients and hearing and understanding their story every step of the way.
Mikayla is currently licensed to practice law in Colorado, North Carolina, Texas, and Utah. She received her Juris Doctorate and an LL.M (Master of Laws) in North Carolina. Prior to law school she played Division I Women’s Soccer at Elon University and graduated with a double-major in Public Health and Human Services with a minor in Poverty and Social Justice.
Mikayla has successfully litigated hundreds of cases in federal and state courts to protect her clients’ rights and achieve favorable outcomes. Mikayla’s countless hours of work and preparation have led to great trial results for her clients, including being a member of a team that has received a $30 million verdict in Colorado.
For her outstanding work as a young lawyer, Mikayla has been recognized as the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 for 2023 and 2024. Mikayla also had the opportunity to publish an article in the National TRIAL magazine in March 2025.
Mikayla has served in various leadership roles in the legal community, both at the national and local levels, including serving on the boards of both the Utah Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice.
In her free time, Mikayla enjoys chasing adrenaline adventures, attending sports events, playing soccer, skiing, hiking, and traveling the world.
